Shree Guru Charan Saroj Raj, Nij Man Mukar Sudhari,
Barnau Raghuvar Bimal Jasu, Jo dayaku Phal Chari

With the dust of Guru's Lotus feet, I clean the mirror of my mind and then
narrate the sacred glory of Sri Ram Chandra, The Supereme among the Raghu
dynasty. The giver of the four attainments of life.

Budhi heen Tanu Janike, Sumirow, Pavan Kumar,
Bal Buddhi Vidya Dehu Mohi, Harahu Kalesh Bikaar

Knowing myself to be ignorent, I urge you, O Hanuman, The son of Pavan! O
Lord! kindly Bestow on me strength, wisdom and knowledge, removing all my
miseries and blemishes.

Jai Hanuman Gyan Guna Sagar
Jai Kipis Tihun Lok Ujgaar

Victory of Thee, O Hanuman, Ocean of wisdom and virtue, victory to the Lord of
monkeys who is well known in all the three worlds

Ramdoot Atulit Bal Dhamaa,
Anjani Putra Pavansut naamaa.
You, the Divine messager of Ram and repository of immeasurable strength, are also
known as Anjaniputra and known as the son of the wind - Pavanputra.

Mahebeer Bikram Bajrangi,
Kumati Nivaar Sumati Ke Sangi.
Oh Hanumanji! You are valiant and brave, with a body like lightening. You are the
dispeller of darkness of evil thoughts and companion of good sense and wisdom.

Kanchan Baran Biraaj Subesaa,
Kanan kundal kunchit kesa.
Shri Hanumanji's physique is golden coloured. His dress is pretty, wearing
'Kundals' ear-rings and his hairs are long and curly.

Hath Bajra Aur Dhvaja Birjai,
Kandhe Moonj Janeu saage.
Shri Hanumanji is holding in one hand a lighting bolt and in the other a banner
with sacred thread across his shoulder.

Shankar Suvna Kesari Nandan,
Tej Pratap Maha Jag Vandan.
Oh Hanumanji! You are the emanation of 'SHIVA' and you delight Shri Keshri.
Being ever effulgent, you and hold vast sway over the universe. The entire
world proptiates. You are adorable of all.

Vidyavaan Guni Ati Chatur,
Ram Kaj Karibe Ko Atur
Oh! Shri Hanumanji! You are the repository learning, virtuous, very wise and
highly keen to do the work of Shri Ram,

Prabhu Charittra Sunibe Ko Rasiya,
Ram Lakhan Sita man basyia.
You are intensely greedy for listening to the naration of Lord Ram's lifestory and
revel on its enjoyment. You ever dwell in the hearts of Shri Ram-Sita and Shri
Lakshman.

Sukshma roop Dhari Siyahi Dikhwana,
Bikat roop Dhari Lank Jarawa
You appeared beofre Sita in a diminutive form and spoke to her, while you
assumed an awesome form and struck terror by setting Lanka on fire.

Bhim roop Dhari Asur Sanhare,
Ramchandra Ke kaaj Savare.
He, with his terrible form, killed demons in Lanka and performed all acts of Shri
Ram.

Laye Sajivan Lakhan Jiyaye,
Shri Raghubir harashi ur laye.
When Hanumanji made Lakshman alive after bringing 'Sanjivni herb' Shri Ram
took him in his deep embrace, his heart full of joy.

Raghupati Kinhi Bahut Badaai,
Tum Mama Priya Bharat Sam Bahi.
Shri Ram lustily extolled Hanumanji's excellence and remarked, "you are as dear
to me as my own brother Bharat"

Sahastra Badan Tumharo Jas Gaave,
Asa kahi Shripati Kanth Laagave.
Shri Ram embraced Hanumanji saying:
"Let the thousand - tongued sheshnaag sing your glories"

Sankadik Brahmadi Muneesa,
Narad Sarad Sahit Aheesa
Sanak and the sages, saints. Lord Brahma, the great hermits Narad and
Goddess Saraswati along with Sheshnag the cosmic serpent, fail to sing the
glories of Hanumanji exactly

Jam Kuber Digpal Jahan Te,
Kabi Kabid Kahin Sake Kahan Te
What to talk of denizens of the earth like poets and scholars ones etc even Gods
like Yamraj, Kuber, and Digpal fail to narrate Hanman's greatness in toto.

Tum Upkar Sugrivahi Keenha,
Ram Miali Rajpad Deenha
Hanumanji! You rendered a great service for Sugriva, It were you who united
him with SHRI RAM and installed him on the Royal Throne.
Tumharo Mantro Bibhishan Maana,

Lankeshwar Bhaye Sab Jag Jaana.
By heeding your advice. Vibhushan became Lord of Lanka, which is known all
over the universe.

Juug Sahastra Jojan Par Bhaanu,
Leelyo Taahi Madhur Phal Jaanu
Hanumanji gulped, the SUN at distance of sixteen thousand miles considering
it to be a sweet fruit.

Prabhu Mudrika Meli Mukha Maaheen,
Jaladhi Langhi Gaye Acharaj Naheen.
Carrying the Lord's ring in his mouth, he went across the ocean. There is no
wonder in that.

Durgam Kaaj Jagat Ke Jeete,
Sugam Anugrah Tumhre Te Te.
Oh Hanumanji! all the difficult tasks in the world are rendered easiest by your
grace.
Ram Duware Tum Rakhavare,
Hot Na Aagya Bin Paisare.
Oh Hanumanji! You are the sentinel at the door of Ram's mercy mansion or His
divine abode. No one may enter without your permission.

Sab Sukh Lahen Tumhari Sarna,
Tum Rakshak Kaahu Ko Darnaa.
By your grace one can enjoy all happiness and one need not have any fear under
your protection.

Aapan Tej Samharo Aapei,
Tanau Lok Hank Te Kanpei
When you roar all the three worlds tremble and only you can control your might.
Bhoot Pisaach Nikat Nahi Avei,

Mahabir Jab Naam Sunavei.
Great Brave on. Hanumanji's name keeps all the Ghosts, Demons & evils spirits
away from his devotees.

Nasei Rog Hare Sab Peera,
Japat Niranter Hanumant Beera
On reciting Hanumanji's holy name regularly all the maladies perish the entire
pain disappears.

Sankat Te Hanuman Chhudavei,
Man Kram Bachan Dhyan Jo Lavei.
Those who rembember Hanumanji in thought, word and deed are well guarded
against their odds in life.

Sub Par Ram Tapasvee Raaja,
Tinke Kaaj Sakal Tum Saaja
Oh Hanumanji! You are the caretaker of even Lord Rama, who has been hailed as
the Supreme Lord and the Monarch of all those devoted in penances.

Aur Manorath Jo Koi Lave,
Soi Amit Jivan Phal Pave.
Oh Hanumanji! You fulfill the desires of those who come to you and bestow
the eternal nectar the highest fruit of life.

from suffering of several lives.

Anta Kaal Raghubar Pur Jai,
Jahan Janma Hari Bhakta Kahai.
After death he enters the eternal abode of Sri Ram and remains a devotee of
him, whenever, taking new birth on earth.

Aur Devata Chitt Na Dharai,

You need not hold any other demigod in mind. Hanumanji alone will give all

O Shri Hanuman, The Son of Pavan, Saviour The Embodiment of
blessings, reside in my heart together with Shri Ram, Laxman and Sita

Everything is already predestined by God and when we say Sorry we try to think of ourselves as a part of the creator and as a part of the creation of the creator which I think might be an insult to Him

Online Maithili Community Good Thoughts
Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one so that when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift.
When the door of happiness closes, another opens, but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one which has been opened for us.
The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.
It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.
Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they'll love you back! Don't expect love in return; just wait for it to grow in their heart but if it doesn't, be content it grew in yours. It takes only a minute to get a crush on someone, an hour to like someone, and a day to love someone, but it takes a lifetime to forget someone.
Don't go for looks; they can deceive. Don't go for wealth; even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright. Find the one that makes your heart smile.
There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real!
Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go; be what you want to be, because you have only one life and one chance to do all the things you want to do.
May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, enough hope to make you happy.
Always put yourself in others' shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the other person, too.
The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.
Happiness lies for those who cry, those who hurt, those who have searched, and those who have tried, for only they can appreciate the importance of people who have touched their lives. Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss and ends with a tear. The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past, you can't go on well in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.
When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying. Don't feel badwhen others bring you downits not your faultyou shouldn't be the one to frown
just keep your head up highand don't let the rain stop youtheres no reason to liejust try and stay true
life will get betterthe sun will soon shineand before you know ityou'll have a life thats divine
believe in what you areand stay true and kindand before you know ittrue friends you will find
learn from your mistakestry and look past the strifeno one should be alonewhen living a beautiful life I AM A shattered cough,Lost breath,Broken skin,I am Death.
A single look,A glance above,A glimmering eye,I am Love.
A touch that lied,Broken Trust,Lost Love,I am Lust.
Wondering alone,Lost Fate,Never Love,I am Hate.
A gracious smile,A golden key,A gate of Trust,I am Destiny.
Unbroken lies,Not left in dust,An open arch,I am Trust.
A broken smile,I do defy,What is truth?I am a Lie.
A happy time,Everyone's strife,You'll never forget,That I am Life.
Joy in Life
Joy does not come about as the result of agreeable circumstances. Joy is, rather, a powerful and reliable cause of agreeable circumstances. There's no need to wait for things to be just right before you begin to enjoy them. Instead, enjoy what is, and that joy will begin to transform what is into what you would like it to be. Have you ever wondered why some people always seem to enjoy the best that life has to offer? It's not really because more good things come their way, but rather because they find and enjoy the good in whatever does come their way.
Imagine how very much more effective your work would be if it was done with sincere joy in your heart. Consider how much more richly you could relate with others if you consistently did so from a perspective of joy.
Rather than looking for something to be joyful about, look for things, for people, for situations to be joyful upon. Let joy freely flow from you and you'll find that there's always plenty of joy around you.
A TINY DROP OF WATER A tiny drop of water washed away the land and buildings fell, floating away with other people's dreams. Roadways planned and formed by huge machines and men who sweat and hammer the world into shape, were pushed awaywith little effort. People ran and cars clogged highways in an effort to stay ahead of the possible destruction that tiny drop of water could cause. "Wait!" you say. "It was much more than a tiny drop of water. The streams overflowed and the rivers broke through their banks causing a wall of water to destroy those things." Yes, but it was made up of tiny drops of water. Raindrops which together wore a path right through my yard with little effort. One drop, then two then thousands, millions and all together they changed the world, our world. Can't you see the significance in that? I want to change the world. I am tired, worn out from weeping at the sight of still another death not just on the field of battle laid out by warriors, but in the streets of every city, in the fields of the impoverished, desolate reaches of the world. They are dying in my country and yours by bullet, by starvation, disease, arrogance, stupidity and pride. A tiny drop of water gave me hope. I am but one drop in the sea of humanity, but like the rain I can join together with others and wash away the hatred and pain I anguish over. One drop, then two, then thousands, millions and all together we can change the world. our world. I want to change my life. I am tired of being in debt. I am worn out from trying to keep pace with the world. I have tried my very best to get ahead and find myself falling behind each step of the way. A tiny drop of water gave me hope. It fell upon the hillside just behind my house. One single drop of water joined with others forming a stream. Like trying one more time. Like doing one more thing. Like pushing one more inch to reach the goal, the dream I long to touch and make reality. All my little efforts make big changes. The little stream that ran down my driveway, never having been there before, began as one single drop, until one drop after another, trying again and again, washed the soil away and moved the tiny pebble and eventually the rock. I cannot push away the fear nor change my life overnight, but if I dedicate myself to one single effort each and every day, I will see the power of changing little things to make a big difference. A tiny drop of water gave me hope. I am just one drop in the sea of humanity. But I have the power to change my life and the sacred obligation to move the world in the right direction. How? One drop, then two, then thousands, millions and all together we change the world, our world. A tiny drop of water gave me hope. ++++++++++++++++++++++Positive Thoughts for Today++++++++++++++++++++++ LOVE/RELATIONSHIPS: In poverty and other misfortunes of life, true friends are a sure refuge --Aristotle LEADERSHIP/SUCCESS:All animals except man know that the principal business of life is to enjoy it. --Samuel Butler MOTIVATION/INSPIRATION: Happiness is like a cat. If you try to coax it or call it, it will avoid you. It will never come. But if you pay no attention to it and go about your business, you'll find it rubbing up against your legs and jumping into your lap. --William Bennett

Mithila:

Mithila is an ancient cultural region of North India lying between the lower ranges of the Himalayas and the Ganges River. The Nepal border cuts across the top fringe of this region. The Gandak and Kosi Rivers are rough western and eastern boundaries of Mithila.
In his Ramayan, Tulsidas gives an elaborate description of how the entire Mithila region of Bihar was decorated for the marriage of Sita with Ram. These decorations consisted chiefly of vivid murals depicting mythological personages, deities of the Hindu pantheon and the flora and fauna of the region. This art of painting, an established tradition even then, has survived to this day, passed down for centuries from every Maithili (resident of Mithila] mother to her daughter.
Today, these ceremonial decorations - popularly identified as Madhubani paintings, after the town which is a major centre of their export - can be seen on house walls in the districts of Champaran, Saharsa, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Darbhanga, Madhubani (more profusely here than elsewhere), Samastipur, parts of the districts of Monghyr, Begusarai, Bhagalpur and Purnea, which together form the region of Mithila.

this is the respect and affection we share .
NOTE - we have never met till date .

MITHILA =PLACE IN NORTH BIHAR

Being almost away from mithila since my childhood . I know a very little about mithila.I really have a tremendous respect for my place ,As people there still have lots of respect for their culture and people.
we have lots to explore from mithila , with having so much of potential in mithilanchal , we ought to make people educated by means of providing right information , to how things easily available can be made worthy.
In mithila we have enough crops of Bamboos which in turns can be made to high quality papers. but these all need the paper factory to be establised . which we can have negotiation's with the people either very rich or the union/state government . But proposal has to be put before them with thorough studies/home work.
Secondly every people there are having their need of small things , like slippers , soap , oil (SABOON AUR TEL) which can be manufactured there . why to get each and every things from outside state .its not we are not manufacturing anything we are doing so .But to a very small scale .which is like peanuts .Once even punjab was just like our place . they have hard working people there and , the proper Tuning amongst them..we too have people with the great skills . and hard working ability. And if we wish we can also produce and devote for indian economy, and bring our place to the world map.
THESE ENTIRE SCHEME CAN BE WORKED OUT , WE NEED TO HAVE A VERY VERY NICE TUNING AND FUTURE PLAN FOR THE WORK. WHICH IN MY OPINION , IS WHERE WE ARE LACKING

Maithili is an Indo-Aryan language that is spoken by the people of North- Eastern Bihar and Nepal. The language has been named Maithili because it is spoken in the ancient land of Mithila. It is also called Tirhutia because Tirhut is another name of the same region, which is derived from Tirabhukti, which means the bank of the river purified thrice by the sacrifices. An Italian scholar named Amaduzzi in his book Alphabetum Brahmmanicum (1771A.D.) has mentioned this language as Maitili.
At present, the language has about 30 million speakers in the 26 districts of N.E. Bihar. Moreover it is the second state language of Nepal. The language is spoken by 12% of the total population there. P.E.N (an international organization of letters for Poets, Essayists, Novelists) and the Sahitya Akademi, India have recognized Maithili.
It is the sixteenth most spoken languages in India and the fortieth most spoken languages of the world. It has its own script called the Mithilakshar or Tirhuta, originated from Brahmi, a script of 3 BC also found in Asokan Inscriptions. Present day Maithili writers and public at large have adopted Devanagari script because of its widespread use, popularity and convenience.
Scholars believe that Siddhacharyas formed Protomaithili during 8-9th c. A.D. when they composed Charyapada (vide Prof. R.K.Chaudhary'sThe Survey of Maithili Literature ) since then the language has progressed and several works have been found. The forms of Protomaithili words are also obtained sporadically in Prakrit Paingalam and other Sanskrit works written by scholars of Mithila under the native influence. In 14th c AD Kavi Shekhar Jotirishwar used the language Avahatta, a form of Protomaithili in his Varnaratnakar, which depicts the oldest prose used for the first time in any of the languages of Northeastern India. Vidyapati the most prolific writer has also used Avahatta, form of Proto Maithili, in his dramas, the Kirtilata and Kirtipataka. He also composed melodious poems depicting the love of Radha-Krishna in his Padavali that is written in the Maithili of medieval period. Vidyapati also influenced Nepali, Bengali, Assamese, Oriya and Manipuri literature during the medieval period. His influence has also been seen unto the modern period in the Shyama Sangeet of Rabindranath Thakur ,composed by pen name as Bhanu Singher Padavali.
Maithili also flourished in the court of Kings of Nepal, during Malla period. Several dramas, anthologies of lyrical poems, songs, and inscriptions in Maithili are available in Nepal of this period In Assam, Ankiya natak's dialogue and songs used to be composed in Maithili in the period of Shankardev and Madhavdev.During the last 150 years the foreign scholars like Colebrooke (1801), Hoernle (1880), Grierson (1881), Kellog (1893) and others have studied Maithili's grammar, phonology, lexicography, historical surveys, and comparative linguistics. These scholars along with Indian linguists like Dr. Suniti Kumar Chatterji and Mahapundit Rahul Sankrityayan have declared Maithili as a full fledged independent language which has originated from Sanskrit-Prakrit, Magadhi-Prakrit, Apabhramsa, to Avahatta, Protomaithili and then developed into the formation of modern Maithili. Earlier attempts were made by Sir G.A Grierson to publish the grammar in 1881 AD, chrestomathy and vocabulary of the language in 1882 AD and Bihar peasant life in 1885 AD to compile the form of Maithili words. He also collaborated with Hoernle to write a comparative dictionary of the Bihari languages in 1885 & 1889 AD. In 1946, Pundit Deenbandhu Jha wrote its grammar based on the sutras of Sanskrit grammar of Panini. He also published a Maithili Dictionary in 1950. In 1973 the Institute of Advanced Studies Simla, published an incomplete dictionary of the language compiled by Dr. Jayakant Mishra. Now, Royal Nepal Academy has taken up the job to publish a Maithili - Nepali - English Dictionary under the guidance of Dr. Y. Yadav. Dr. Subhadra Jha has written the formation of Maithili language in 1958. Prof. Radhakrishna Choudhary has written the Survey of Maithili Literature (1964), Dr. Jayakant Mishra has written the History of Maithili Literature. In 1968 Pt. Govind Jha wrote The Origin and Growth of Maithili and he has also compiled a Maithili - English dictionary recently.
In modern times various writers regularly produce literary writings in all genres like poetry, prose, essays plays, dramas, fiction, critical reviews, epics etc. depicting the culture, history, journalism, and linguistics. Moreover Maithili has an enormous stock of oral literature in the form of folk tales in prose, verse, ballads and songs. In spite of all this though even minor languages have been included in the 8th schedule of the Indian constitution, Maithili has been ignored its rightful entry there. It is the perception of the speakers of this language, that due to political connivance, the language in its native state Bihar, has been given the minority status, despite the fact that almost half the population speaks Maithili. Hindi zealots time and again claim that the language is a dialect of Hindi having no independent entity despite strong evidence to its contrary. It is a well-known fact that the history of Maithili literature is more than a millennium years old whereas that of Hindi literature has a history of barely 200 years since Bhartendu Harishchandra.
Unfortunately Maithili speakers themselves don't take pride in the common daily use of the language. No dailies are published. Even periodicals and magazines are published few and far between. The language bears the insult of Hindi zealots and the apathetic state government. Institutions are taken lightly. The language has been derecognised by the state government from the educational curriculum and the state civil service examinations. The candidates have to choose, under pressure a language other than their mother tongue with which they are not well conversant for this examination.
To a great extent Maithili speakers are themselves to be blamed because of lack of unity among themselves, too much consideration of caste, creed, religion, regionalism, parochialism and the vast gap between the elitists and the downtrodden.
It should not be forgotten that Maithili belongs as much to dalits, Muslims, and people belonging to lower caste as much as it belongs to persons of upper castes. The ballads and other folk tales like Lorik, Nayaka Banjara, Salhes, Deenabhadri, Rayaranpaal, etc. have been preserved by these so-called dalits and lower castes since the time immemorial by memorizing and singing traditionally. These are as important contribution to the Maithili literature as are the writings of upper caste. See Mithila Script Mithilakashar courtsey -vinod bihari verma

(mithila and culture) FIG-- THREAD CEROMONY IN MITHILA
--------------------------------------------- ------------------------
The history of Mithila does not center round Violent feats of arms but round Courts engrossed in the luxurious enjoyment of literature and learning. But while Mithila's fame does not rest on heroic deeds it must be duly honored as the house where the enlightened and learned might always find a generous, peace and safety. Before 1000B.C,it was the great center of Hindu learning from the sixth to third century before Christ,Vaishali,a town in its border was a buddhist stronghold and in fifth century after the sun of Buddhism had set Mithila again sprang into notice as the home of Hindu enlightment. When eventually the first flood of Muslman invasion coming down the Ganges, did spread Bihar,it subsided, leaving Mithila with Hindu Kings still holding courts where poetry and learning were alone honored.
-Stevence Moor.

MITHILA AND BIHAR
Bihar has a rich cultural heritage. The predominant themes are from the myths and legends of Hinduism. The Hindu deities, Lord Rama and His consort, Seeta, and Lord Shiva and His consort, Parvati, form the main theme of folk paintings. Bihar, a land of many Buddhist Monasteries is also known as 'The Land of Buddha'.
The beautiful stories of the ancient times are depicted in the exquisite handicrafts of Bihar.
Painting
Madhubani Painting
One of the art forms of Bihar, the Madhubani School of Painting, has lately received much attention and poularity. Madhubani, in the heart of the Mithila region, had a rich tradition of wall paintings done by the village women with vegetable dyes. An artist encouraged them to try their wall paintings on paper and since then Mithila paintings gained ground. These line paintings in primary colors normally depict village scenes, human and animal forms, gods and goddesses.
